While setting up for our Bi Weekly Auction scheduled for August 22nd auction we received a phone call from the producers of the History Channel's TV show "American Pickers".
Tim Trojian from the show asked us if we know how to identify and contact Collectors of Civil War Memorabilia...Of course we readily agreed to assist!
American picker, Mike Wolfe has been combing through junk since the age of four. Over the years, he's earned a reputation as one of the country's foremost foragers.
Where other people see dilapidated barns and overgrown yards, Mike sees potential goldmines packed with rare finds and sensational stories.Mike spends as much time as
he can on the road, usually with Frank Fritz--his friend of 20 years and picking partner--in tow.
To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, Mike and Frank are touring America looking for civil war artifacts and relics.......
They plan to do a show in Savannah in November 2010 while they are here they will seek out collectors of Civil War memorabilia who are ready to show off
the collection and who are ready to sell! Bull Street Auctions has been asked to identify persons who would have an interest of being on the show...
The Guys are seeking anything that orginally dates to the civil war.....toys, letters, photos, military items etc.....
If you are interested in being on the show please click American Pickers Request Form and fill out the form..
(sample photos would be a plus...)
